Massimiliano Culpo is a software developer working in the Scientific IT and Application Support group at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL). His work is mainly related to the automation of software deployment over EPFL's HPC clusters and to the reproducibility of the software environments provided to researchers. He has been a core developer of Spack since July 2015, when he started at EPFL. Before that he worked as a consultant programmer at CINECA. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Bergische Universitaet Wuppertal in Germany and his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
