Protonu Basu is a research scientist at Facebook where he works for hardware-software codesign for AI systems, Prior to Facebook, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Computer Science Department of the Computational Research Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). His research interests include compiler optimizations, polyhedral compilers, stencil computations, performance modeling, and high performance computing. Protonu finished his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 2016 under Professor Mary Hall, and his bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi in 2007.
