Ada Sedova is a researcher Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She was also a CSEEN Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Scientific Computing Group at NCCS, ORNL. She received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences with focuses on computational biophysics, biophysical chemistry and structural bioinformatics from the NY State DOH/Wadsworth Center--University at Albany's Biomedical Sciences Department, a joint program. She also received a Masters in Mathematics from the University at Albany's Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a research focus on stochastic processes in physics and chemistry. Dr. Sedova works on software libraries and infrastructure for molecular simulation and informatics, and enjoys simulating dynamics of condensed matter systems with HPC programs, creating, performing, and analyzing INS experiments using the VISION instrument at SNS, and studying software design best-practices and performance in scientific computing.
