Tal Ben-Nun is a researcher at the Scalable Parallel Computing Laboratory (SPCL) at ETH Zurich. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2016. Today, he is researching the intersections between high-performance computing, programming languages, and machine learning. Topics of interest include large-scale distributed deep learning and scientific computing applications, advancing machine comprehension of code via machine learning and partial compilation, and designing data-centric parallel programming models for HPC on heterogeneous architectures.
