Biography
Lucas Benedicic joined the Swiss National Supercomputer Centre (CSCS) in 2014. Initially at the Future Systems group, he designed and implemented the first prototypes for HPC containers and Python DSL for weather & climate simulations. After two years in the Systems Integration group as technical lead for software defined platforms, he was appointed head of DevOps in 2018, the activities of which focused on container runtimes and interactive computing for HPC, and REST APIs for compute and storage services.
Lucas is currently acting as head of the Software Engineering unit at CSCS, where he coordinates aspects of microservice architecture, CI/CD practices and IAM infrastructure of the Centre.
